Network Rail - Route Plans

The route plans provided a description of the capability and use of each strategic route and enhancements to the network that were committed or under consideration. The plans reflected and built upon the Route Utilisation Strategies and were developed with our customers.

Route Plans were generally published on an annual basis and included the most up-to-date position at that point in time. They have now been superseded by the Network and Route Specifications which have been published alongside the Initial Industry Plan. Please see the Network Specification pages for further details.
